ALL-UMAC VOLLEYBALL TEAMS

csssaints.com) – St. Scholastica senior middle blocker
Christaia Houser (Esko, Minn./Homeschool) was named to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Volleyball First Team; it was announced on Monday.
In league matches this season, Houser was fifth in the conference with 133 kills, fourth with a .369 hitting percentage, tied for second with 22 service aces and led all players with 59 total blocks.
The 2016 Honorable Mention All-UMAC choice became the first Saint to record at least 100 total blocks in a season since 2007 and finished her career with 289 blocks, the fourth-most in program history.
She ended her senior season with at least 10 kills in six straight matches, her longest such streak of her career.
Conference Awards
The University of Northwestern's Lindsey Peterson was named the UMAC Player of the Year for the third straight season. Her coach, Beth Wilmeth, was named the league's Coach of the Year. Katie Reitsma of the University of Minnesota Morris was the UMAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year and teammate Mia Frick was the UMAC Rookie of the Year.
