ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team scored five goals in the opening 33 minutes en route to a 7-0 conference victory over Crown College Friday night.
 
The Action
Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS) got the Saints started quickly, tallying a goal three minutes and 29 seconds into the contest. Janelle Rouillard (Dayton, Minn./Rogers HS) and Taylor Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) were credited with the assists. Olson was then on the receiving end of a pass from Rouillard in the 18th minute and finished to make it 2-0.
 
A little over two minutes later, Dixon scored an unassisted goal for her second of the game to extend the margin to 3-0. Emily Olson (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) made it 4-0 in the 32nd minute with an assist from Lexie DeWall (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS (Morningside)). One minute later, Kailee Katt (Esko, Minn./Esko HS (St. Catherine)) scored her second of the season to make it 5-0 at the half.
 
After a pair of assists in the first half, Rouillard scored a goal of her own in the 58th minute to make it 6-0. The final goal of the game came from conference leading scorer Becca Rancour (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) in the 74th minute with a second assist from DeWall to make the final 7-0.
 
Notable Performances
Olivia Schmitz (Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS) made two saves in 76 minutes of action to earn the win. Kirsten Belsheim (Isanti, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) relieved Schmitz and played the final 14 minutes in her collegiate debut, making a save on the one shot she faced.
 
Rancour, T. Olson and Rouillard all peppered the Crown goalkeeper with four shots on goal each.
