DULUTH, Minn. (

The Action
In an entertaining non-conference game at Saints Field, St. Scholastica struck first when
Taylor Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) headed the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 in the 13
th minute.
Kailee Katt (Esko, Minn./Esko HS (St. Catherine)) and
Becca Rancour (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) had the assists.
A little over five minutes later, the Saints added to their lead when Rancour got behind the defense and buried one home to make it 2-0. Once again Katt was credited with the assist. CSS went into halftime leading 2-0 with the Scots having a slight edge in shots at 6-5.
The Saints put pressure on Macalester early in the second half, but the field started to tilt in favor of the Scots. Ultimately, Macalester would force a CSS handball in the box to get a penalty kick. Clara Webby converted the PK in the 59
th minute to make it 2-1.
The Scots continued to put the pressure on the Saints and Webby again delivered by heading in Jaime Hasama cross to tie the contest at 2-2 in the 70
th minute. After the 90 minutes the game remained tied at 2-2.
As the daylight started to dwindle in overtime, the Saints had the best chance to end it when
Taylor Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) struck the crossbar in the 93
rd minute. However, neither team could find the net and the game ended in a 2-2 tie under little light at Saints Field.
