First Half Success
The Saints found success early in the game, with a Kadie Mattson (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS ) goal, assisted by Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS ), just six minutes into the game. Two minutes later, Taylor Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS ), assisted by Jordan Lundberg (Detroit Lakes, Minn./Detroit Lakes HS ), beat the keeper and put the Saints up by two. At the 10 minute mark, T. Olson found the back of the net, this time on her own, to score the third goal in four minutes. At 18 minutes, Dixon had a successful goal, the last one of the half, putting the score at 4-0 going into halftime.

Second Half Domination
T. Olson started things off for the Saints' offense less than 10 minutes into the second half with another goal, her third of the game. Three minutes later, Alex Miller (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Totino Grace HS ) increased the Saints lead to five with an unassisted goal. Emily Olson (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids HS ) was next to score for CSS, collecting an unassisted goal. Peyton Bacso (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS (Minnesota-Duluth) ) brought the score to 7-0 with a goal of her own half way through the 75th minute, followed closely by a second E. Olson goal, this time assisted by Kirsten Olsen (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine HS ). With just nine minutes left in the game, Bacso put a second shot past the keeper, assisted by Jennie Bryant (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS ), giving the Saints their 10-0 lead to finish out the game.

CSS keeper Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth) ) faced just one shot, but stopped it, giving herself a perfect save percentage for the contest.
