csssaints.com) – Augsburg College scored a goal in the first five minutes and then added a second in the 24
th minute en route to a 3-0 victory over the St. Scholastica women's soccer team on Friday night in non-conference play.
The Action
Following a 15 minute delay to the start of the game due to lightning in the area, Carter Denison put the Auggies on the board just five minutes into the contest. Brigette Jera added Augsburg's second goal in the 24
th minute to make it 2-0. It stayed a two-goal margin until the 84
th minute when Marta Anderson scored to make the final 3-0.
The Saints managed just three shots on the night with
Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS ) recording the only shot on goal.
Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth) ) made five saves in the loss.
