The Knights are coming off a loss to Buena Vista University (Iowa) on Wednesday night in their home opener … Martin Luther was in Oshkosh with the Saints last weekend and went 1-3 defeating the Milwaukee School of Engineering … The Knights return 10 of 13 players from last year's roster, including their entire rotation for much of the season … The Knights rank third in the conference in team hitting percentage (.136) and are second in blocks (62) … Jade St. Germaine leads the conference with 106 kills so far this season and was named to the all-tournament team in Oshkosh last weekend … Kira Grev is right behind her with 95 kills this season … Grev was a First Team All-UMAC choice last season.
Minnesota Morris Cougars
Record: 2-7
The Cougars will enter the weekend on a five-match losing skid … The two victories this season for the Cougars have come on the west coast when they defeated Occidental College (Calif.) and Cabrini University (Pa.) in Claremont, California … Morris is guided by first year head coach Lauren Torvi … Morris is second in the conference in kills per set (11.8) and lead the UMAC teams with 20.15 digs per set … Marissa Ekness leads all conference players with 4.6 kills per set, while Layne Herrmann leads the conference with 9.3 assists per set … Katie Reitsma leads the league with 6.8 digs per set … Ekness and Reitsma were First Team All-UMAC selections last season.
UW-Superior Yellowjackets
Record: 3-9
The Yellowjackets are coming off a four-set victory over Finlandia University (Mich.) on Tuesday night … Two of UWS' three wins this season have against the Lions with other coming against Knox College (Ill.) … Superior ranks second in the conference in team hitting percentage (.149) and are tied for the conference lead with 1.63 service aces per set … UWS has a pair of players with over 100 kills already this season in Brylee Colligan (116) and Alexis Landherr (111) … Emily VerWay leads the UMAC with 344 assists on the year. VerWay was named the conference's Rookie of the Year last season.
