ADRIAN, Mich. (csssaints.com) - The St. Scholastica put a stop to No. 2 Adrian College's (Mich.) 14-game win streak as the Saints netted a pair of goals in the final five minutes of regulation and Lindsey Hartfiel (Big Lake, Minn./Buffalo HS) matched a program record with 56 saves in a 2-2 tie on Friday night.

Third Period Scoring Mania:
Going into the third period, the score was 1-0, with the Bulldogs' Sarah Shureb scoring early in the second period to put Adrian ahead. The Bulldogs' Kristin Lewicki, assisted by Kaylyn Schroka, extended this lead six minutes into the period with a powerplay goal, the only one of the night to make the score 2-0. With four minutes and 46 seconds left in the game, Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)) put the Saints on the board, assists coming from Mac Johnson (Monticello, Minn./Monticello HS (St. Cloud State)) and Katie Josephson (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS), to make the score 2-1. With the score differential now at one, the Saints pulled goalie Lindsey Hartfiel (Big Lake, Minn./Buffalo HS) in order to induce a tie. St. Scholastica's Sierra Hanowski (Warroad, Minn./Warroad HS), assisted by Nikki Logergren (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Northern Stars)), was able to make the tie a reality, scoring with one minute and 21 seconds left in the game. The game then went into overtime, where after five minutes neither team scored, resulting in a tie of 2-2.
