The Eagles shot 49 percent from the floor in the half, while the Saints shot 42 percent.
Second HalfThe Saints could only get as close as nine in the second half as the Eagles had an answer for every CSS spurt. Northwestern had great scoring balance with four players over 15 points.
A Kyle Ooms 3-point-play on an acrobatic shot with under eight minutes to go seemed to seal the fate for the Saints that it wasn't their night. The Eagles went on to win 93-70.
