PREVIEW: Men's Hockey Meets Adrian again in NCHA Semifinals

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The No. 15 St. Scholastica men's hockey team will travel to Adrian College (Mich.) to face the second-ranked Bulldogs for the third straight year in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Harris Cup Semifinals.

Last Action: Keegan Bruce (Bellingham, Wash./Bellingham HS (Weyburn-SJHL) ) recorded his first collegiate hat trick as the Saints blitzed past Lawrence University (Wis.) 6-2 on Wednesday night in the Harris Cup quarterfinals … CSS recorded four goals in the second period to put the game away … One of those goals was a Kristopher McKinzie penalty shot.
 
Quick Turnaround: After Wednesday night win, the Saints departed Duluth at 7 a.m. Thursday morning for the 11-hour bus trip to southeastern Michigan.
 
Postseason Success: With Wednesday night's victory, the Saints have advanced to the semifinals of the NCHA playoffs in nine of the last 10 seasons, including the last five years.

Bruce/Nowakowski on Fire: Senior Keegan Bruce (Bellingham, Wash./Bellingham HS (Weyburn-SJHL) ) has recorded a point in 15 of the last 17 games, including the last six consecutive games … Since the calendar turned over to 2016, Bruce has 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points … Not to be out-done, Dylan Nowakowski (Calgary, Alberta/Centennial HS (Brooks-AJHL) ) has recorded at least one point in 11 of the last 13 games … He has eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points during that span … Nowakowski ranks seventh in the nation, averaging 1.46 points per game.
