Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash./Liberty Bell HS) posted an eighth place finish to lead the St. Scholastica women's Nordic ski team in the 10km freestyle race on Sunday as part of the Michigan Tech Junior National Qualifier.
The Action
The newly-fallen snow and the frigid temperatures made for difficult ski conditions on Sunday. Dickinson, who has led the team in the first two competitions, paced the Saints again on Sunday finishing eighth in a time of 35:35. Northern Michigan University had five skiers finish third thru seventh.
Ellie Evans (New Hope, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper HS) finished 17
th in a time of 36:46.
Allison Ternes (Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) posted a time of 38:35 to finish 25
th overall.
Greta Jenkins (Palmer, Alaska/Colony HS) was 33
rd finishing in a time of 40:39.
The Winner
Former Dartmouth College All-American Annie Hart won the event in a time of 32:40.
Up Next
The Saints will be off until January when they begin Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA)/NCAA Qualifier races. That starts in Cable, Wisconsin at Telemark on January 21 and 22.
