Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) led the St. Scholastica women's cross country team with a third place finish on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships, hosted by Carleton College, to earn her a spot at the National Championship next weekend. The Saints as a team placed 12
th out of 32 teams.

Top Performances
Hovland recorded her fifth top three finish of the season, coming home in third with a personal-best time of 21:37. That was 18 seconds off the winner, Audrey Miller of Loras College (Iowa). That is the second-fastest time at a NCAA regional in program history and earns her all-region honors for the second straight year.
Freshman
Nicole Gilman (Manitowish Waters, Wis./Lakeland Union HS) was the next Saint to finish, placing 61
st with a time of 23:50.
Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash./Liberty Bell HS) was 68
th with a season-best time of 23:54.
In her final career race,
Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was 88
th with a time of 24:16.
Elizabeth Poskie (Cotton, Minn./South Ridge HS) was the final Saint to score in 100
th with a season-best time of 24:30.
Kali Erickson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Central HS) was 125
th in her final race of her career and
Heidi Carlson (Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) was 149
th overall.
NCAA Announcement
The official announcement of the qualifiers for the NCAA Division III National Championships will be posted by noon on NCAA.com on Sunday. The NCAA Championships will take place next Saturday at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
