DULUTH, Minn. — St. Scholastica women's cross country standouts Regan Niemi (Bemidji, MN/Bemidji HS) and Abby Wood (Circle Pines, MN/Centennial HS) have been recognized by the MIAC following impressive performances at the conference championships. Niemi earned All-MIAC honors for the second straight season with an eighth-place finish, while Wood was named Honorable Mention All-MIAC after placing 24th overall.
Niemi turned in a personal-best time of 22:18.9 over the 6k course — a 30-second personal record and the seventh-fastest time in program history. The junior went out strong from the gun and maintained her position among the lead pack throughout the race. The performance marks her second consecutive All-Conference finish after earning All-MIAC honors in 2023, when she was also named MIAC Rookie of the Year.
Wood, a sophomore, also delivered the best race of her collegiate career, clocking 23:12.9 for a 36-second personal record and the 14th-fastest 6k in Saints history. Her 24th-place finish earned her Honorable Mention recognition — the first conference honor of her career.
