ST. PAUL, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica women's soccer team dropped a non-conference battle against Macalester College on Tuesday night, getting shut out by the Scots 3-0.

The Action
The Scots took early control of the contest and never looked back when Mia Stripp, assisted by Jaime Hasama, beat the Saints' keeper in the 18th minute. During the course of the first half, the Saints would manage only one shot, compared to the Scots' seven.

After 10 minutes of the second half had progressed, Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS ) has the Saints best shot at getting on the scoreboard, but her shot was just wide, bouncing off the post. This offensive surge by the Saints proved to unsettle the Scots, but not for long. 10 minutes later, a wild goal for the Scots jumpstarted its offense once again. A long breakaway pass up the middle to Hasama got her into shooting position. Her shot was wide of the keeper, but it hit the post and trickled along the goal line until Kara Komoto rushed in to claim the goal before any Saints defenders could get in front of it.

For the third Macalester goal of the game, with just over six minutes left, Bekka Ord, assisted by Molly Adams, found her first goal of the season to give the game its final score of 3-0.

Notable Performances
The Saints were led on offense by Dixon, who collected two shots. Taylor Olson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS ) had the only shot on goal for the Saints. Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth) ) tallied four saves. Mia Stripp led the Scots with three shots and a goal. Hasama was close behind with two shots and two assists. Keeper Emma Toomer had one save on the night.
