csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's cross country team placed eighth out of 15 teams on Saturday at the Pre-Region Meet, hosted by Carleton College.

Top Performances
It was another near win for junior
Casey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) as she came home second with a personal-best time of 21:57, two seconds back of winner Audrey Miller of Loras College (Iowa). In her three races this season, Hovland has finished first, third and second.
In her second race of the season,
Nicole Gilman (Manitowish Waters, Wis./Lakeland Union HS) was the second CSS runner to cross the finish line, crossing in 31
st place with a time of 24:24.
Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was 49
th, posting a time of 24:45.
Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash./Liberty Bell HS) was not too far back in 52
nd with a time of 24:55. Dickinson improved her time from two weeks ago by 30 seconds. In her first race of the season,
Kali Erickson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Central HS) was the final Saint to score, finishing 80
th with a time of 25:39.
