Low-Scoring First Half
The Saints led for much of the first half despite both teams combining to score 24 points through 16 minutes of play. Superior closed the final three minutes and 30 seconds of the half with a 13-3 run to take a 24-18 halftime lead. The 18 points for the Saints were a season-low for a half.

Strong Second Half
The Saints opened the second half with a 16-4 run to take a six-point lead. UWS kept the margin within seven and cut it down to three a few times. Each time the Yellowjackets cut it to three, the Saints answered on the ensuing possession, first with a Kory Deadrick (Esko, Minn./Esko HS) 3-pointer, then it was a Brandon Newman (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) layup followed by a Zach Dahlman (Braham, Minn./Braham HS) layup.

The Dahlman layup spurred a 9-0 run to seal the deal for the Saints, who was 11-for-14 from the free throw line in final two minutes to win 67-55. The Saints bench out-scored the UWS bench 15-3 in the second half.

Team Stats
The Saints had 10 turnovers and shot only 35 percent in the first half. The second half saw CSS shoot 60 percent from the floor and commit only three turnovers. The Yellowjackets shot 34 percent for the game, including 2-of-13 on 3-point attempts.
