Indoor/Outdoor: Both Wagner and Buske competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March down in North Carolina … Wagner took part in the Heptathlon and placed 11
th, while Buske competed in the 400m dash and finished 14
th overall … Wagner becomes the first CSS male athlete to compete at the indoor and outdoor championships in the same academic year, while Buske becomes the first CSS female to compete at the indoor and outdoor championships in the same academic year in a running event.
Third Time a Charm?: This will be the third straight year for Wagner competing in the decathlon at the NCAA Championships … Wagner placed ninth his freshman season with a point total of 6,454 … He then finished 14
th last season with a point total of 6,526 … He enters this weekend with a season-best point total of 6,538.
Back Again: For the second straight year Peterson will be competing in the hammer throw … Peterson narrowly missed qualifying in the discus with the 22
nd best mark this season … Peterson placed 19
th in the hammer throw at the championships last year … Peterson has set program records this outdoor season in the shot put, hammer throw and discus.
Welcome to the Outdoors: Like Buske, this will be the first NCAA Outdoor Championships appearance for Christianson … However, Christianson has nationals experience in the high jump as she was an All-American in that event at the 2014 Indoor Championships in Nebraska tying for eighth in that event.
Who Earns All-American Honors: Those individuals that finish in the top eight of an event earn All-America recognition.
