Women's Soccer Nets Plenty of Goals in Win over Crown

ST. BONFACIUS, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team scored 11 goals Friday evening, four of which from Leah Hamm (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS), in a 11-0 victory over Crown College at KleinBank Stadium.
 
The Action
Kirsten Olsen (Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine HS ) got the scoring started for the Saints in the 12th minute off a corner kick from Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS ). Hamm netted her first goal 38 seconds later with an assist from Becca Rancour (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS ).
 
The two distributors were the goal scorers on the next two goals as Rancour scored the first of her three tallies in the 16th minute and Dixon scored in the 19th minute. Hamm added her second goal in the 21st minute and Rancour made it 6-0 in the 26th minute. That would be the halftime score.
 
Rancour made it a hat trick 37 seconds into the second half. Hamm then recorded a hat trick in the 51st minute and added her fourth goal in the 57th minute thanks to a Taylor Rozmark (Blaine, Minn./Blaine HS ) assist.
 
Kaylee Benson (Nowthen, Minn./Anoka HS) recorded her first goal since the 2013 season with a penalty kick in the final 20 minutes and Benson assisted Alexi Bopray (River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS) in the final nine minutes to make the score 11-0.
 
Annie Michels (Plymouth, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret’s ) did not see any shots to earn her second win of the season.
