COLFAX, Wis (csssaints.com) - The St. Scholastica women's cross country team took 10
th place out of 17 teams at the Blugold Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday.
The ActionCasey Hovland (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS) was the top runner for CSS with a time of 23:09.3, good enough for 22nd overall. Hovland has led the Saints in both races that she has competed in this season.
Andrea Mogren (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) came home 43rd overall with a time of 23:36.6, while
Jordan Johnson (Poplar, Wis./Northwestern HS) was 74th at 24:15.7.
Molly McCusker (Deerwood, Minn./Crosby-Ironton HS) finished at 25:23.9 which was good enough for 133rd and
Heidi Carlson (Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) was 146th at 25:38.4.
This is the highest the Saints have placed in meets involving more than 10 teams this year. UW-La Crosse won the meet with 74 points. St. Olaf College was third with 83 points and UW-Eau Claire third with 93 points.
Up NextThe Saints will take part in the Pre-Nationals Meet in Winneconne, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 17. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will host the event.
