DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's basketball team will wrap up the first half of conference play this weekend when it faces Martin Luther College on Friday and Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday both on the road.

The Saints went 1-1 for the second straight conference weekend last week, defeating Crown College on Friday 61-49, but falling to the University of Minnesota Morris in the UMAC Game of the Week on Saturday 69-64 … Mariah Hovick (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds and three assists in the two games.
 
Hovick Rolling: Senior guard Mariah Hovick (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) has scored in double figures in 10 straight games … That is the longest streak since the 2009-10 season and Kirsten Haukom reached double-figures in 12 straight games … She is eighth on the program's all-time scoring list (1077), nine points shy of Haukom for seventh.
 
Dominating the Glass: CSS leads the UMAC with a +8.2 rebounding margin in league games thus far … However, for the season overall, they are only sixth in the league at -2.4.
 
Struggling from Beyond the Arc: The Saints are shooting only 26 percent from beyond the arc this season, while opponents are shooting 32 percent …Last season those numbers were flipped … The lowest 3-point field percentage in program history is 25 percent in 2008-09.
 
Making the Freebies: The Saints went a season-best 21-of-22 from the free throw line in the loss to Minnesota Morris on Saturday … That is the best mark since 2009 when the team was 23-of-24 against Rockford College (Ill.) … CSS is 15^th in NCAA Division III from the free throw line, shooting 75 percent.
