PREVIEW: Women's Soccer Looks to Build Off First Win

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team will be on the road this weekend as it takes on the North Central University Rams on Friday and follow that up with a visit to the University of Northwestern Eagles on Saturday.

Good Start to Conference Action: CSS is coming off its first win of the season after defeating Northland College on Tuesday by a score of 3-0.

Balanced Scoring/Offense Coming Alive: Three different Saints players scored their first goals of the season in the Northland game ... Those three players were Jalyn Britton (Eagan, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS), Morgan Osbourne, and Alexi Bopray (River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS). As a team, the Saints outshot the LumberJills 28-2 on Tuesday.

Kehtel Watch: Kelsey Kehtel (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) inched closer to the career points record with two assists in Tuesday's game ... She is now four points away from tying the record of 168 set by Robin Johnson.

Series History: CSS has yet to drop a game to the Rams, winning all nine matchups ... The Saints are 39-4-1 all-time against Northwestern

The Rams go into UMAC competition with a 1-1 record … They started out the year with a 2-0 loss to Providence-Manitoba but came back with a win last Saturday over Mount Mary by a score of 2-0 … Jen Sargent and Rebecca Hammond have the lone goals on the Rams' season so far … North Central outshot their last opponent by a tally of 13-1 … The Rams were picked to finish last in the UMAC Women's Soccer Coaches Poll
