DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica volleyball team has four matches this weekend at the Pizza Hut Classic at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The Saints will take on Dominican University (Ill.) and Maranatha Baptist (Wis.) on Friday with matches against Finlandia University (Mich.) and Lawrence University (Wis.) on Saturday.

The St. Scholastica volleyball team fell in straight sets to both Bethel University and UW-Superior in its last action Tuesday night in Superior.

Saints Looking To Get Back In Win Column: CSS has lost its last four matches and hope to get a win streak going into conference play.

Ohaju Continues Defensive Prowess: Gloria Ohaju (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Central HS) has been a force at the net for the Saints, having registered a block in every Saints match this season. She tied a season-high with three blocks against UW-Superior on Tuesday night.

The Defensive Specialist: Danielle Benusa (Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) has recorded double-digit digs in six of the Saints' seven matches this season, including tying a season-high of 14 against Superior.
 
Dominican University
The Stars come into the weekend at a .500 record of 3-3 … After starting the season on a three game winning streak, Dominican has lost its last three with all of them coming in straight sets … Their last match was against UW-Whitewater … Cari Chambers had a team-high nine kills and added 10 digs in that match … The Stars had three other players with double-digit digs, led by Cheyanne Kelly's 19 and Caitlin Foote, who had 16 digs.

Maranatha Baptist
The Sabercats are currently undefeated with an 8-0 record … They have yet to drop a set this season … They look to protect their undefeated season against MSOE on Thursday night … Stacy Reinke leads the team with 45 kills while Kelli Fox and Alexis Johnson back that up with 40 and 36 kills respectively … Emily Thompson has a team-high 120 assists this season … Samantha Swiatek leads the team with 101 digs.

Finlandia University
The Lions have a 2-6 record coming into this weekend's games … They are currently on a two-game winning streak after losing their first four matches of the season … All of their matches have been quick as they have all resulted in three sets … Their last win was against Northland International University … Katelyn Anderson and Augustine Brutus led the offensive attack with seven kills each … Emma Nelson had 26 assists in the win … The defense was led by Anderson's 17 digs.

Lawrence University
The Vikings have a record of 1-6 so far this season … They had a five-game losing streak before picking up their first win of the season … Their last match was against Concordia (Wis.) University which they lost 3-1 … Kayla Storm paced the Vikings with seven kills, and Terese Swords and Arianna Cohen had five kills apiece … Lauren Ray picked up 18 assists … Cyra Bammer had a team-high 21 digs for the Vikings.
