DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team will host No. 1-ranked St. Norbert College (Wis.) this weekend for a two-game Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) series.

- The Saints are on a two-game winning streak after sweeping Northland College last weekend.

Alex Valenti (Blaine, Wash./Bellingham HS (Merritt-BCHL) ) registered five assists in the series, including four of them in Friday night's victory. The four assists are tied for the second-most in a game in program history.
- The Saints accumulated 15 goals against Northland.

Brandon Nowakowski (Calgary, Alberta/Central Memorial HS (Calgary Royals-AJHL)) is tied for fourth place in the NCHA for goals (12). He is seventh in NCAA Division III with seven power-play goals.

Paul Marcoux (Brandon, Manitoba /Vincent Massey Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) is tied for second in the country with four game-winning goals this season.

Tyler Bruggeman (North Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS (Austin-NAHL) ) is also fourth in the conference for goals-against-average (1.96) and fifth with saves percentage (.924).
- CSS continues to have the lowest number of penalty minutes (181).
- The Saints have only played once at home once the calendar turned over to 2014. CSS has played seven games total at Mars this season and are averaging nearly a goal more per game at home than on the road.
- CSS is 1-1-1 in its first three games against the No. 1-ranked team in the USCHO.com poll this season. CSS defeated St. Norbert in November, tied Adrian and lost to Adrian in overtime on January.

- The Green Knights are coming off having a split series last weekend against then No. 1 Adrian College (Mich.)
- In Friday's contest the Green Knights scored 11 goals for the second time this season. The first was against Concordia Wisconsin. Tyler Zepeda recorded a hat trick for that game along with one assist.
- St. Norbert is second in the country averaging 4.57 goals per game and leads the NCHA with 19 power-play goals in league games.
- Joe Perry leads the team with 13 goals, but Mason Baptista leads with points (25). Baptista is tied for the conference lead with 19 assists.
- Blake Thompson is fifth in the nation, averaging 1.00 points/game as a defenseman.
- Goaltender David Jacobson is second in the league with a 1.55 goals-against-average, which is also fourth-best in NCAA Division III.
Series History: (CSS is 12-45-3 vs. St. Norbert)
- The Saints and Green Knights played earlier this year in November in non-conference matchup in Wausau, Wis. CSS won 4-2.
- Neither of this weekend's expected starting goaltenders played in that contest.
