DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team continues its competition in the UMAC on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. against Northland College at Saints Field.

Edwards Benefit: Both the men's and women's St. Scholastica soccer teams will be wearing special orange uniforms on Saturday in support of Leukemia Awareness and Athletics Administrative Assistant Merissa Edwards, who is currently battling the disease … The jerseys will be auctioned off and t-shirts are and will be sold at the game with all of the proceeds going to the Edwards family.

UMAC Play: CSS remains unbeaten by any other UMAC team with six wins and a tie in the conference... Minnesota-Morris is the only team to have not been beaten by the Saints in the UMAC this season… The teams tied last Saturday during homecoming on Saints Field where no goals were scored the entire game.

Goalkeeping: Goaltender Kelsey Reeves (Eagle River, Alaska/Eagle River HS ) has been phenomenal in the net the last few games. Macalester's lone goal last Tuesday was the first goal she has allowed since September 13th' against University of Wisconsin-River Falls… Reeves has made 15 saves in the last eight games, only missing one game against North Central… Annie Michels (Plymouth, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret’s ) was in the net for the Saints against North Central where she denied any shots through for a goal.
 
Defense: The Saints' defense has only allowed the ball to the net 16 times in the last eight games… The defenders have helped Reeves keep their UMAC opponents scoreless against them.
 
Offensively: Saints have scored 21 times in the last eight games… Each game has been determined by two or more points except the scoreless tie with Minnesota-Morris and the 1-0 loss to Macalester…
 
Series History:  St. Scholastica and Northland come to Saturday's match with a 35-3 overall history in favor of the Saints, plus the Saints victory earlier this season... Last season the Saints won both games last season by a score of 4-0 each… This season the Saints took the first game against Northland by a score of 3-0 on the LumberJills home field.

Northland arrives at Saints Field on Saturday coming off a loss to Martin Luther College… Laura Rethmann scored the lone goal in the 2-1 loss last Saturday for the Lumberjills… Emily Romauld had 13 saves and allowed two goals in that match… Heather Jensen and Mikayla Jaeckel were the only two players with shots on goal in the last matchup between the Saints and Lumberjills... Overall, the LumberJills have a 6-6 record and are 2-5 in the UMAC…Madeleine Wieland with 13 goals and 30 points this season.
