ST. PAUL, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team surrendered a goal in the 24th minute Tuesday night in falling to Macalester College 1-0 at Macalester Stadium.
 
The only goal of the contest was scored by the Scots' Haley Stutzman 23 minutes and 43 seconds into the first half. Bonnie Gale and Hannah Walker had the assists. Macalester out-shot the Saints 18-8 for the game.
 
CSS goalkeeper Kelsey Reeves (Eagle River, Alaska/Eagle River HS ) made seven saves in the loss. The defeat snaps St. Scholastica's seven-game unbeaten streak.
 
The Saints (6-6-1) will be at home and back in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action this Saturday when they host Northland College at Saints Field. CSS will be wearing special orange uniforms that will be auctioned off with all of the proceeds going to the family of Athletics Administrative Assistant Merissa Edwards and her fight against Leukemia. Action is scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m.
