PREVIEW: Women's Soccer Back at Home for Homecoming Weekend

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team will host North Central University on Friday and then the University of Northwestern for Homecoming on Saturday at Saints Field.

Record:

Head Coach: Dave Reyelts 
- The Saints are heading into Homecoming weekend with a four-game winning streak after defeating Minnesota Morris 1-0 last Saturday. 
- Senior Shannon Carlson (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) looks to compile more points after the three goals she scored last weekend vs. Crown and Morris.
- Casey Mitchell (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) has recorded points in each of the last four games and leads the Saints and UMAC in assists so far this season. 
- Keley Kehtel is second in the conference with six goals and third with 12 points.
- Goalkeeper Kelsey Reeves (Eagle River, Alaska/Eagle River HS ) is second in the UMAC with 0.96 goals-against-average and is third in the UMAC with a .793 save percentage.
- Head Coach Dave Reyelts is only three wins shy of his 200th career victory.

North Central University Rams
Record: 1-6-0 (0-2-0 UMAC)
Head Coach: Allison Meadows
- The Rams enter the weekend on a four-game losing streak and their lone win in 2013 came at Mount Mary (Wis.) on September 7th.
- Shelby Norman leads the team with three goals.
- Rachel Chant is second in the UMAC with 50 saves for the season and has one shutout.
- North Central was picked to finish last in the league this season, according to the preseason coaches' poll.
Series History: (CSS is 7-0-0 vs. North Central)
The Saints have out-scored North Central 42-1 in the seven previous meetings.


University of Northwestern Eagles
Record: 1-3-1 (0-1-1 UMAC)
Head Coach: Josh Pettit
- The Eagles have recorded a total of five goals over five games this season, which ranks second-to-last in the UMAC.
- Five different Eagles have scored the five goals so far this year.
- Since defeated UW-River Falls 1-0 in the season opener, the Eagles are winless in their last four contests.
- Goalkeeper Emily Johnson leads the UMAC with 52 saves this season.
- Northwestern plays at Northland on Friday.

Series History: (CSS is 32-9-1 vs. Northwestern)
Saints have won the last five matches against the Eagles, since Northwestern defeated CSS in the 2010 UMAC Tournament championship game.
