PREVIEW: Men's Basketball Hosts Finlandia Saturday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team will host Finlandia University (Mich.) on Saturday at the Reif Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for 5 p.m., following the women's game.

-The Saints look to build a winning streak as it picked up their first win of the season on Sunday defeating Finlandia 74-55 at the UW-Superior Merrill Thompson Tip-off classic.
-Sunday's win marked the first time this year that the Saints have held an opponent under 75 points.
-Trevor Morlock (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS (Minn., Crookston)) and Jake Naslund (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) have led the way offensively for CSS. Morlock averages 14.4 points, while Naslund averages 10.3. Morlock also is tops on the team with 7.7 rebounds per contest.
-St. Scholastica has struggled from beyond the arc this season, shooting just under 28 percent (27.9). Opponents have struggled as well, shooting 27.5 percent.
-The Saints have had difficulties at the free throw line as well, shooting 60 percent. Opponents have shot particularly well against Scholastica, converting 78.8 percent of their attempts.

-The Lions are coming off an 83-81 overtime victory over Northland College on Wednesday. The previous night Finlandia fell at Crown College 111-99.
-Finlandia has been led by big man Dominic Morrow and senior guard Keith Arnold. Morrow averages 15.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game and Arnold averages 11 ppg.
-The Lions have struggled to take care of the basketball so far this season, averaging 21.9 turnovers per contest, while forcing 13.9.
-Finlandia has not had a home game yet this season, and will not play a home game until December 8th.
-The Lions have struggled to contain teams in the second half, as the Lions have been outscored by an average of 15.9 points in the second half of games.
-Finlandia shoots just 60.2 percent from the free throw line, and have just three players shooting above 58 percent from the charity stripe.
