DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's basketball team will have its home opener on Tuesday when it takes on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at the Reif Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.

-The Saints fell to NAIA's Mayville State on Saturday to open the season, and were unable to overcome a large first half deficit in Sunday's loss to Saint John's.
-
Trevor Morlock (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS (Minn., Crookston)) has led the way for the Saints offensively, averaging 20.5 points per game and grabbing 11 rebounds, both of which are team highs.

Jake Naslund (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) leads CSS with six made 3-pointers, and
Nathan Carlson (Alvarado, Minn./East Grand Forks HS) is first on the team with a 72.7 shooting percentage.
-The Saints average 76 points per contest, but have allowed an average of 87 points to opponents. The Saints have struggled to take care of the ball in the early going, turning it over nearly 18 times per game.
-CSS has gotten off to a slow start in their first two games, being outscored 94-67 in the first half of games thus far.
-St. Scholastica struggled from the line over the weekend, shooting just 60 percent, while opponents shot nearly 79 percent from the charity stripe.

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds

-UW-Eau Claire opened the season by defeating Hamline 70-66 on the road on Saturday.
-Adam Hjelter led the way for the Blugolds with 22 points, while Lewis Mau added 20 of his own. Hjelter was 4-for-9 from three while Mau shot an efficient 6-for-8 from the field.
-Eau Claire forced Hamline into 21 turnovers, while coughing it up just 14 times, converting 21 points off turnovers.
-UW-Eau Claire had just five assists to Hamline's 20, and the Blugold bench was outscored by Hamline 28-11.
-The Blugolds scored 41 points in the second half of Saturday's game.
-UW-Eau Claire was 25-for-38 from the charity stripe against Hamline.
-The Blugolds are picked to finish eighth in the nine-team Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) this season, according to the preseason poll.
