DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica volleyball team will play its final two home matches of the year on Wednesday night when it welcomes Northland College and the University of Wisconsin-Superior to the Reif Gymnasium.

St. Scholastica Saints

- The Saints will be honoring its lone senior on the squad in
Kayla Horbacz (Isanti, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS).
- The Saints are coming off a dominating performance in sweeping North Central last Saturday. The Saints had a balanced attack as six players had five or more kills.

Kortney Morrin (Grantsburg, Wis./Grantsburg HS (Northern State)) has been playing very well lately. She has had 15 or more kills in two of the last three matches, which includes an 18 kill performance against Minnesota Morris and following that up with a 20 kill match against Northwestern.

Danielle Benusa (Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) has also been playing well on the defensive side for the Saints. She has recorded 15 or more digs in six straight matches.
- Morrin is second in the UMAC in kills per set with a 3.27 average and also in total kills with 275 on the season so far.
- Benusa is fourth in the conference in digs per set with a 3.65 average.

Erika Birkeland (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) is third in the conference in assists per set with a 7.39 average.

Northland College LumberJills

- The LumberJills last action was against Northwestern last Saturday which resulted in a loss in straight sets.
- Taylor Viegut leads the offensive attack with 168 kills on the season. Cassie Baumgarten and Averi Kanyuh have also contributed 108 and 100 kills respectively.
- Kelsey Bodart leads the team with 302 assists on the season.
- On the defensive side, the 'Jills have five players with 100 or more digs, led by Alison Blackford with 162. Viegut also leads the team in blocks with 49.
- Blackford is fifth in the conference in service aces per set with a 0.35 average and has 24 on the season to lead the 'Jills.

UW-Superior Yellowjackets

- The Yellowjackets last match was against UW-Whitewater which was a loss in straight sets.
- Kitty Tynen leads the team in kills with 285 with Jessica Zimmerman contributing 238 of her own.
- Keely Deadrick leads the team in assists with 971 on the season.
- The Jackets have five players with 200 or more digs on the season, led by Lauren Peterson with 417. Brooke Vonasek leads the team in blocks with 69.
