PREVIEW: Women’s Soccer Goes out of Conference to Face Falcons Tuesday

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team will travel and face the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the annual battle for the Chalice.

About the Saints
Record: 8-3-1, 7-1-0 UMAC

The Saints are coming off a 10-1 victory over Northland College on Saturday.
Kelsey Kehtel (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) recorded the team's eighth hat trick of the season in the win over the 'Jills.
In the last three games, the Saints have outscored their opponents 30-2.
CSS has scored 60 goals this season, while opponents have just netted eight.
Kehtel and Andrea Beatt (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) each lead the team with 12 goals this season, with Kehtel having one more assist than Beatt to have the overall points lead.
Shannon Carlson (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS)'s three assist performance against Northland propelled her to the team lead with 10 on the season.

The Falcons are coming off a 5-3 loss to UW-Stevens Point on Saturday.
River Falls has just one win in its last five contests that came in a 1-0 decision against UW-Platteville at the end of September.
Cassie Stang leads with the Falcons with seven goals and 15 points this season.
Sydney Kolnberger leads the team with six assists.
In goal, Rebecca Kramer has made 54 saves and has a 1.40 goals-against-average with a pair of shutouts this season.

Series History: (CSS is 4-2-2 vs. UW-River Falls)

The Saints are undefeated against the Falcons in the last four meetings.
Shannon Carlson (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) scored the game winner with three minutes left in the second half in Duluth last year.
The teams played to a tie two years ago in River Falls and the recipient of the Chalice was won by the Falcons in a shootout.
