DULUTH, Minn. – Coming off a 5-1 weekend, which saw the St. Scholastica volleyball team defeat two NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, the Saints will travel to Eau Claire on Tuesday night to face another NCAA Tournament team, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and also Bethel University.

The Saints went 5-1 in the first three days of the season with the lone loss coming to 10th-ranked University of St. Thomas in four sets. The Saints swept No. 16 St. Olaf College on the opening day of the year and then swept Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday. Both were NCAA Tournament teams a year ago.

St. Scholastica Saints (5-1)
In 2010, the Saints won 20 of their 28 matches in a sweep. The Royals got off to a good start this season, defeating Wisconsin Lutheran, University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the Northwestern College opener on Thursday and Friday … The Royals' lone loss came to Northwestern College in three sets … Bethel was picked to finish sixth in the preseason Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) coaches' poll … The Royals placed eighth in the league in 2010 … Bethel is led by Nicole Wriedt, who is a two-time All-MIAC selection.
