Central Regional Ski Races Postponed Due to High Winds

HOUGHTON, Minn. – The NCAA Central Regional Skiing Championship scheduled to begin Friday in Houghton, Mich. has been postponed to Saturday due to projected high winds in the forecast.

The decision was made Thursday night after the NCAA Skiing Central Region Council, in conjunction with race organizers and coaches, decided to postpone the races in the best interest of the student-athletes.

With the postponement, there will now be two races for both genders on Saturday. The schedule is as follows.

9 a.m. (EST) – Women's 5K Freestyle Individual Start
9:45 a.m. (EST) – Men's 10K Freestyle Individual Start
11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EST) – course closed
3 p.m. (EST) – Women's 10K Classic Individual Start
4:30 p.m. (EST) – Men's 10K Classic Individual Start
