St. Scholastica Saints (0-4)
The slow start this season by the Saints has a lot to do with their inability to score consistently … CSS has shot below 40-percent from the field in three of its first four games … In the one game it shot over 40-percent (49-percent vs. Saint John's), CSS shot just 50-percent from the free throw line, which inevitably led to the two-point loss to the Johnnies … The last time the Saints started 0-5 was in 2005 … Early on
Brett Tester (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) is leading the Saints in scoring, averaging 14.8 points per game …
Chris Hamers (Onamia, Minn./Onamia HS) is also averaging in double figures at 12.5 points per game … Tester also leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game.
Finlandia Lions (1-4)
The Lions played in the UW-Platteville Thanksgiving Classic over the weekend and defeated the host, Pioneers on Saturday, but fell to UW-Superior on Sunday … The victory over Platteville is the lone win of the season for the Lions … Keith Arnold leads Finlandia in scoring at 13.6 points per game … Chase Leskela is second on the team averaging 12.2 points per game … Jonathon Moore and Anthony Grandberry are also averaging double figures at 11.2 and 10.4 per game, respectively.
Last Meeting: (CSS All-Time Record vs. Finlandia: 12-6)
The Saints defeated the Lions 89-79 in Reif Gymnasium in January. Tester scored 16 points, while
