DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team will once again take part in the MCHA/NCHA Thanksgiving Showcase on Friday and Saturday, hosted this year by Marian University (Wis.).

Two weekends ago, the Saints defeated the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 2-1 at Mars Lakeview Arena for a weekend home-and-home series split with the Blugolds.
Jojo Jeanetta (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS ) made 34 saves to preserve the win and
Garet Chumley (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS (Jersey-EJHL) ) netted the game-winner in the third period.

The Saints had a brief sniff of the USCHO Division III poll receiving one vote in the November 14th poll … However, having last weekend off dropped them out once again …
Brett Corcoran (Parksville, British Columbia/Ballenas Secondary (Trail Smoke-BCHL) ) leads the team thus far this season in goals (6) and points (9) … His one goal per game average is tied for sixth nationally …
Tyler Miller (Fort Frances, Ontario/Rainy River HS (Thunder Bay-SIJHL) ) leads the team with seven assists and
Austin Brown (Lathrup Village, Mich./Legacy HS (Woodstock-MJAHL) ) is tied for fourth in the Division III for points per game (1.33) by a defenseman … CSS has been in the box quite a bit this season, averaging 25.3 penalty minutes per game, which is fourth-most in the country … However, the special teams have excelled with the second-best power-play percentage (34.3) in Division III and the eighth-best penalty kill percentage (90.3) …
Colin Rundell (Tees, Alberta/Lacombe Composite (Alaska-Fairbanks) ) has started four of the six games in net and has made 127 games … Both Rundell and Jeanetta have a combined .914 saves percentage this season, which is nearly 40 points higher than the team's save percentage last year.
Marian Sabres (5-1-2, 4-0-2 MCHA)
The Sabres are receiving 10 votes in this week's USCHO Division III poll and are riding a six-game unbeaten streak … Marian is unbeaten in 20 of its last 21 home games at Blueline Family Ice Center … The Sabres posted a season-opening 5-4 victory over another NCHA school in University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point … They are coming off a pair of 2-2 ties in a home-and-home series with Lawrence last weekend … Dakota Dubetz and Brian Berger both lead the team with five goals this season, while Dubetz also has a team-high seven assists for 12 points … Sophomore Josh Baker has seen the most time in net this season with a 2.34 goals-against-average and a .923 saves percentage.

The Saints defeated the Sabres in a wild game 6-5 in overtime last Thanksgiving weekend in Appleton.
Carter Davis (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan/Central Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) recorded four goals and then assisted the game winner in overtime. The last time these two teams played in Fond du Lac, the Sabres came out on top 5-0 in 2003.
Lawrence Vikings (3-0-3, 3-0-3 MCHA)
The Vikings have yet to lose a game this season, but have also yet to play outside of the MCHA … Their wins have come against Concordia (Wis.) and a sweep of Northland College … Their back-to-back series ties vs. Marian last weekend was a first in the 25-year history of the program … Freshman forward Gustav Lindgren leads the nation in points per game (1.60) by a rookie … Matt Hughes leads the team with four goals scored … The Vikings are 10th in the nation in power-play percentage (30.4) and are seventh in penalty-kill percentage (90.6) … In net, Peter emery is 14th in the nation in saves percentage (.933).

The Saints fell to the Vikings last Thanksgiving 4-2 for the Vikings' first win in the series. Lawrence scored three goals in the final three minutes to rally past the Saints.
