The Saints men's hockey team split the weekend series with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds with a 2-1 victory on Saturday night at Mars Lakeview Arena.
The win over the Blugolds (4-2-0, 2-2-0 NCHA) gives the Saints their first conference victory of the season.
The scoring for the Saints started in the first period on a power play when

Carter Davis (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan/Central Collegiate (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) and

The Blugolds would tie it up early in the second period when Alex Olson scored on assists from Andrew Wilcox and Tyler Romasco to make it 1-1, a score that would take the teams into the second intermission.
The Saints were successful on another power play in the third when
Garet Chumley (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS (Jersey-EJHL) ) scored on a redirection shot from
Matt Malenstyn (Surrey, British Columbia/Tamanawis Secondary (Waywayseecappo-MJHL) ) to make it 2-1.
