Kelsey Kehtel (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) scored her second hat trick of the season as the Saints extended their shutout streak to 931:07 in a win over the Bethany Lutheran Vikings in Mankato on Friday.

With the win over the Vikings (7-6-3, 3-4-3 UMAC) the Saints take the regular season series two games to none, as they beat them in September 2-0 at Saints Field in Duluth.

The Saints began the scoring early as it just took seven and a half minutes for Kehtel to find the back of the net for her first goal of the day.  Casey Mitchell (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Tech) was credited with the assist on the play.

Taylor Cunningham (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial HS) got the same result only six minutes later when she scored off of an assist from Andrea Beatt (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) and Kehtel to make the score 2-0 CSS.

The Saints score another in the 20th minute when Kehtel scored an unassisted goal to put the Saints up 3-0.  CSS would hold this lead going into the half.

The second half started nearly the same as the first as Kehtel got her hat trick on a goal just six minutes into the half off of a Kallie Thomas (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) assist.

With a minute remaining in the game, Jalyn Britton (Eagan, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) scored her first collegiate goal off of a Claire Lubansky (Chaska, Minn./Chaska HS) assist as the Saints cruised to victory 5-0.

With the hat trick and assist, Kehtel improves her team-leading point total to 31 on the season.  Beatt's assist gives her 17 points as she is still second in scoring for the Saints.

Molly Bergmann (Walker, Minn./Walker-Hackensack-Akeley HS) got the start in goal for the Saints improving to 7-1-0 and earning her seventh shutout of the season.

The Saints (10-4-1, 8-0-1 UMAC) will be in action again tomorrow as they travel to New Ulm to take on the Martin Luther Knights (8-6-1, 4-5-1 UMAC) at noon.
