Saints improve to 20-0 all-time against Presentation

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The St. Scholastica volleyball team swept Presentation College to begin Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action on Friday night.

The Saints (12-4, 1-0 UMAC) finished with a season-best .432 hitting percentage on the night. In the opening set, CSS had a hitting percentage of .579 on its way to a 25-7 win.

The Saints had a match-best 16 kills in the second set, taking it 25-12. The Saints fell behind 4-0 in the third set, but were just too much, finishing the match in three sets, 25-18.

Every Saint saw the floor tonight. #Paige Hardy# and #Anna Zyvoloski# led St. Scholastica with 13 kills apiece. Hardy also matched a career-high with five service aces. Freshman #Kayla Horbacz# added a season-high eight kills. #Sarah Kurtovich# had 28 set assists and #Mariah Sis# had eight assists.

Presentation (0-10, 0-1 UMAC) was led by Tina Boldt with seven kills. The Saints improve to 20-0 all-time against the Presentation Saints.

The Saints will be at the University of Minnesota-Morris tomorrow afternoon. The match begins at 1 p.m. and can be seen live, courtesy of the Cougar Sports Network.
