DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica men's basketball will cross the bridge to Superior to face the Yellowjackets at Mertz Mortorelli Gym on Saturday.

The Saints defeated North Central Tuesday night 73-69 at Reif Gym. #Brett Tester# had his second straight double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. #Danny Schmitz# pitched in a season-high 20 points and #Jonah Dahlman# matched a career-high with 17 points. There were 15 lead changes in the contest.

St. Scholastica Saints (1-2)
The Saints are coming off their first win of the season Tuesday night in a see-saw game with North Central … After just totaling six points in the first two games, the CSS bench scored 11 in the win on Tuesday … The Saints have four different players averaging double-figures in scoring … The Saints have only been outscored 87-84 in first half of games this season.

The Yellowjackets opened up the season on a three-game winning streak against NCAA Division III opponents after defeating Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) opponents, Macalester and Gustavus Adolphus … However, they are coming off a close four-point loss to Division III Minnesota- Duluth on Tuesday night … Jake Smith is leading the team in scoring with 20 points per game … Smith is also averaging nine rebounds per game … Marcus Helland is chipping in with 14 points and bringing down six boards a game … As a team the Yellowjackets are averaging 74.3 points per game, while giving up only 66.3 points per game.
