DULUTH, Minn. – Junior #Megan Flesvig# scored in the game's final two minutes to lead the St. Scholastica women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over the University of Minn.-Morris in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Postseason Tournament semifinals on Tuesday afternoon.
Flesvig's unassisted tally came with just under two minutes remaining in the game, breaking the scoreless tie and advancing the Saints, now 15-4-2 on the season, to the UMAC Postseason Championship game. The Cougars' season ends at 8-10-2.
Junior goalkeeper #Bailey Mahlum# earned her seventh shutout of the season on Tuesday afternoon, setting a new career high. The Saints defense held the Cougars without a shot in the contest.
Minn.-Morris goalkeeper Emily Jacob stopped six shots in taking the loss for the Cougars. CSS had 15 total shots, led by #Shannon Carlson# and #Taylor Cunningham# with two shots on goal each.
