MINNEAPOLIS – The St. Scholastica women's cross country team placed 18th out of 37 teams today at the Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota.
#Katelyn Meger# (
Sr.-Webster, Minn./New Prague) ran a season-best time for the second week in a row to finish 17th overall out of 500 runners. Meger had a time of 23:20 seconds. #Jessie Lovering# (
Jr.-Bemidji, Minn.) ran a time of 24:58 seconds to place 109th overall.

Sr.-River Falls, Wis.) was 141st overall with a time of 25:22 seconds. #Kristen Gronbeck# (
Fr.-Battle Lake, Minn.) ran a personal best time of 25:42 seconds to finish 168th overall. Not too far behind her was #Stacey Gustafson# (
Fr.-Merrifield, Minn./Crosby-Ironton), who also ran a personal best time of 25:55 seconds. A total of six Saints runners ran their best collegiate times today.
Just like the men, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse won the meet with 98 points. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh was second with 112 points. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was third with 117 points.
The Saints will have next weekend off and will compete at the Pine Hill Invitational in Carlton, Minn. on Saturday, October 10th. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:55 a.m.
