DULUTH Minn. – The Saints women's soccer team earned their goalkeeper a shutout in her first collegiate start as they cruised past the Martin Luther Knights Friday afternoon by a 5-0 final.

(Sr.-Andover, Minn.) led the Saints offensively with a goal and an assist, netting the eventual game-winner late in the first half off of a #Cortney McKenzie#
(Sr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) corner kick. She would then assist on the next goal, as #Megan Flesvig#
(So.-Proctor, Minn.) scored her second of the season.
Three more women finished out the game with a goal and an assist each: #Hannah Roy#
(Fr.-Cloquet, Minn.), #Nicole Brandt#
(Jr.-Rochester, Minn.), and #Melisa Entinger#
(Sr.-Mound, Minn.). The goal was Brandt's first of the season. #Jen Krokum#
(Sr.-Duluth, Minn.) also earned an assist late in the game.
The Saints finished with 29 shots, nine on net against Knights goalkeeper Abigail Horn, while holding the Knights to just one shot.
The Saints will host Bethany Lutheran College tomorrow for Homecoming. The contest is slated to start at approximately 2 p.m. following the men's match on Saints Field.
