ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – Even though the St. Scholastica women's soccer team had to settle for a tie yesterday, it still hasn't lost an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular season match in now 60 tries with a 5-0 victory today at Crown College.

The Saints improve to 4-3-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the UMAC. The Storm fall to 0-5-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the conference. CSS is a perfect 19-0 all-time against Crown.

#Beth Flesvig# (Sr.-Proctor, Minn.) got the scoring started for the Saints with her first goal of the season to make it 1-0. #Angie Groh# (Sr.-Andover, Minn./St. Francis) had the assist. #Kaylee Gombold# (Fr.-Stillwater, Minn.) would get her first collegiate goal later in the first half to make it 2-0. Groh and Beth Flesvig (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS) had the assists. With less than five minutes to go in the first half #Cortney McKenzie# (Sr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) drilled in a penalty kick to make the halftime score 3-0.

#Cassie Wirth# (So.-Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) got her first collegiate goal three minutes into the second half off of a corner kick by #Joey Moore# (Fr.-Duluth, Minn./East) to make it 4-0. The final goal came from #Melisa Entinger# (Sr.-Mound, Minn./Holy Trinity), who notched her third goal of the season to make the final score 5-0.

The Saints out-shot the Storm 20-5. #Bailey Mahlum# (So.-Bismarck, N.D.) earned her first shutout of the season and is now 2-2-0 on the year. Merissa Mosher had the loss for Crown.

The Saints return home for Homecoming Weekend next weekend. The Saints will face Martin Luther College on Friday at Saints Field. The match is scheduled to begin at approximately 4 p.m. following the men's match. It can be seen live courtesy of the iFan Sports Network at csssaints.com.
