DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team claimed its third straight Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament Championship today on Saints Field as they edged out the Northland College LumberJills by a 1-0 final.

The Saints scored the lone goal of the game just 13 minutes in to the match as #Angie Groh# (Sr.-Andover, Minn.) scored her eleventh of the season with assists from #Beth Flesvig# (Sr.-Proctor, Minn.) and #Melisa Entinger# (Sr.-Mound, Minn.)

From there, the game became a defensive struggle as both Saints goalkeeper #Erin Olejnicak# (So.-Brainerd, Minn.) and the Jills' Katie Mahoney each made three saves to keep the score at 1-0 entering the final minutes.

The game became chippy in the 85th minute , as three yellow cards and one red card were assessed in 29 seconds, but the Saints held on to their one-goal lead to clinch the victory and their sixth overall UMAC Tournament champion.
