DULUTH, Minn. – For the second consecutive night, the 10th-ranked St. Scholastica hockey team and No. 9 University of Wisconsin-Stout played to a 1-1 tie at Mars Lakeview Arena.

Tonight's tie may be a bit more controversial though as it appeared the Blue Devils won the game with 44 seconds left in overtime. After about a two minute discussion and the Blue Devils ready to shake hands and call it night, the goal was waved off due to a player in the crease.

The Saints scored first again tonight as #Jeff Gagnon# (Sr.-Quesnel, B.C.) put in a rebound on the power-play with eight seconds left in the first period, for his first of the season. #Jordan Baird# (Sr.-Port McNeill, B.C.) and #Jeremy Dawes# (So.-Winnipeg, Man.) had the assists.

With Stout having a 5-on-3 advantage halfway through the second period, the Blue Devils tied it up with a power-play goal from Sam Carr.

Stout controlled the third period and overtime, but the calls went the Saints' way and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Both teams had 39 shots on goal. #Zach Kleiman# (Sr.-Ottawa, Ont.) had 38 saves for CSS and Tom Lescovich had the same for Stout. There were a total of 12 penalties called in the contest.

The Saints are now 3-1-2 overall and remain unbeaten in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) with a 2-0-2 mark. The Blue Devils are 2-2-2 overall and 0-2-2 in the league.

The Saints have next weekend off and will be in action next on Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend when they host the Thanksgiving Classic at Mars Lakeview Arena. Salem State College (Mass.), St. Norbert College, and Lawrence University (Wis.) are the other three teams participating. The Saints will play Salem State on Friday, November 27th at 7:05 p.m.
