MANKATO, Minn. – For the seventh consecutive time the St. Scholastica women's soccer team has shutout a conference opponent with a 6-0 victory this afternoon at Bethany Lutheran.

The Saints improve to 9-3-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). CSS has not allowed a goal in conference play in the last 705 minutes and 39 seconds. The lone goal scored was by Northland College in conference opener. The Vikings fall to 5-7-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the conference.

The Saints scored their first goal by way of a penalty kick when #Cortney McKenzie# (Sr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) put it in. #Britt Walle# (Fr.-Tafjord, Norway/Duluth East) made it 2-0 when she dribbled in and scored in the 39th minute. #Amanda Hakala# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) had the assist. Three minutes later, #Melisa Entinger# (Sr.-Mound, Minn./Holy Trinity) scored her seventh goal of the season with assists from #Rainee Eby# (Fr.-Billings, Mont.) and Britt Walle (Tafjord, Norway/Duluth East HS). That is Eby's first collegiate point. Just 47 seconds later, Cortney McKenzie (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) scored on another penalty kick to make it 4-0 at the half. McKenzie is 6-for-6 on penalty kicks in the last two seasons.

The final Saints goal of the day came less than two minutes later when #Jen Krokum# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./East) scored off of a #Joey Moore# (Fr.-Duluth, Minn./East) corner kick to make the final 6-0 CSS. The Saints extend their UMAC regular season unbeaten streak to 65 matches.

St. Scholastica out-shot Bethany Lutheran 36-1 in the match and had nine corner kicks. That one shot for the Vikings did not get on net as #Bailey Mahlum# (So.-Bismarck, N.D.) did not have to make a save to earn her fourth shutout of the season and improve to 5-2. Katie Renner had 14 saves in the loss for the Vikings.
