ABERDEEN, S.D. – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team scored five second half goals en route to an 8-0 victory this afternoon at Presentation College.

The Saints improve to 8-3-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). Presentation falls to 2-8-1 overall and 1-6-0 in the conference. CSS has won all 13 meetings against Presentation and has only allowed two goals in those meetings.

#Angie Groh# (Sr.-Andover, Minn./St. Francis) scored the first two goals on the day three minutes into the match with an assist from #Nicole Brandt# (Jr.-Rochester, Minn./Lourdes). About 15 minutes later, #Amanda Hakala# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./Central) made it 2-0 with her first collegiate goal. Groh scored again with 14 minutes left in the first half to make it 3-0. The goal moved Groh up to eighth on the Saints' all-time scoring list.

#Jen Krokum# (Sr.-Duluth, Minn./East) made it 4-0 seven minutes into the second half with an assist from #Cortney McKenzie# (Sr.-Maple Grove, Minn.). Three minutes later #Kaylee Gombold# (Fr.-Stillwater, Minn.) scored her second goal of the season. #Cassie Wirth# (So.-Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) had the assist. #Melisa Entinger# (Sr.-Mound, Minn./Holy Trinity) scored back-to-back goals to extend the lead to 7-0. #Hannah Roy# (Fr.-Cloquet, Minn.) had the assist on the second goal. The final score of the contest came from #Katie Gaydos# (Sr.-Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial), who scored her first collegiate goal, to make the final 8-0.

The Saints out-shot Presentation 27-1. #Bailey Mahlum# (So.-Bismarck, N.D.) earned the win in net to improve to 4-2 on the year. Sara Gregersen had 12 saves in the loss for Presentation.

The Saints will go out of conference on Wednesday when they play at Augsburg College. The match is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
