Sr.-Duluth, Minn./East) broke a 1-1 tie with 2:03 seconds left in regulation as the St. Scholastica women's soccer team defeated Northland College 2-1 today in the regular season finale at Saints Field.
The Saints finish the regular season with a 15-3-2 overall record and a 13-0-1 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) mark. The LumberJills fall to 14-3-1 overall and 11-3 in the conference. The Saints are 9-0 at home this season and have won 18 straight at Saints Field.

The LumberJills put pressure on with about 10 minutes left in the match and Melanie Rasor scored in the 83rd minute to tie it 1-1.
With time ticking away in regulation
Jen Krokum (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) struck the ball from about 25 yards out and it just got out of the reach of the leaping Northland goalkeeper, hit the under side of the crossbar and just crossed the goal line to give the Saints the lead with two minutes to play.
Melisa Entinger (Mound, Minn./Holy Trinity HS) had the assist. Northland would get a shot off, but it was wide as the Saints prevailed 2-1.

So.-Brainerd, Minn.) had six saves in the victory for the Saints. Katie Mahoney had three saves in the loss for the 'Jills.
