DULUTH, Minn. – The St. Scholastica volleyball team had no trouble with Crown College tonight, winning 3-0 at Reif Gym.
The Saints improve to 16-12 overall and 10-3 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). Crown falls to 4-25 overall and 0-13 in the conference. The Saints have reached 10 conference wins in five of the last six seasons.
The Storm scored the first point of the night, but that was the only bright spot. The Saints got out in front 10-3 in the opening set. Crown made it close at 14-11, but the Saints pulled away and won 25-12.
CSS jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the second set and won by the largest margin in a set this season, 25-5. The Saints had 11 kills and no errors in the second set. CSS got up 11-3 in set three and closed out the match in less than an hour 25-13.

The Saints finish up the regular season tomorrow when they host a triangular in Reif Gym at the Burns Wellness Commons. The Saints will face Northwestern College to begin the day at 11 a.m. It will be the final conference matches for both teams.
