NEW ULM, Minn. – The St. Scholastica volleyball team won its sixth straight match today with a 3-0 victory at Martin Luther College. 

The Saints are 13-11 overall and 7-2 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). CSS has won eight of its last nine matches. The Knights fall to 10-15 overall and 3-6 in the UMAC. Martin Luther defeated the Saints in five sets earlier this season. 

The Saints got off to a good start, scoring the first five points of the match. The Saints held the lead and was up 24-21 late. However, the Knights scored four straight points to take a 25-24 lead. A pair of #Megan Baartman# (Sr.-Andover, Minn.) kills, plus a block by Baartman and #Megan Windschitl# (Fr.-Sartell, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral), gave the Saints the opening set 27-25. 

The second set was close early until CSS used a 6-0 run halfway through and went on to win the set 25-20. The Saints would never trail in the third set and ended the match, winning it also by a score of 25-20. 

Megan Baartman (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) was the only Saint in double-figures in kills with 11. #Rebecca Udermann# (Sr.-Rosemount, Minn.) added six kills. #Sarah Kurtovich# (Fr.-Andover, Minn.) had 26 set assists and #Nikki Hughes# (So.-South Range, Wis./Northwestern) had 16 digs. Megan Windschitl (Sartell, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS) had solid performance at the net with two block solos and seven block assists. 

The Saints will head to the University of Minnesota-Morris and Presentation College next Friday and Saturday. The Cougars and Saints will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday. That match can be seen live on the Cougar Sports Network.
