WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PARTICIPATES AT COBBER INVITE

MOORHEAD, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's cross country team finished second this afternoon at the Cobber Invitational, hosted by Concordia-Moorhead.

The host Cobbers won the meet with 25 points. The Saints were second with 48 points. The University of Minnesota-Morris was third with 61 points.

#Tara Connolly# (Sr.-River Falls, Wis.) led the Saints and finished third overall with a time of 24:18 seconds. #Ellie Stasney# (Sr.-Jordan, Minn./New Prague) was ninth overall with a time of 24:51 seconds. Also finishing in the top 10 was #Jenna Stauffer# (Fr.-Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview), who ran a time of 24:55 seconds to finish 10th.

#Stacey Gustafson# (Fr.-Merrifield, Minn./Crosby-Ironton) was 12th overall with a time of 25:14 seconds. #Melissa Kempenich# (So.-Little Falls, Minn.) finished 14th, posting a time of 25:34 seconds. #Kristina Ewing# (Fr.-Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) was 15th with a time of 25:52 seconds and #Shannon Guse# (So.-Zimmerman, Minn./Princeton) was 17th with a time of 26:08 seconds.

The Saints will have a few runners competing at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational tomorrow. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
