2010 Schedule
DULUTH, Minn. – St. Scholastica head men's soccer coach
Barry Chastey has announced three more recruits to the 2010 class as Hudson's
David Nettleton (Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS), Northfield's
Caleb Yurek (Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS), and Elk River's
Kyle Orrock (Elk River, Minn./Elk River HS) all intend to play for the Saints in the fall.
Nettleton, a forward/midfielder, was the Big Rivers Conference Most Valuable Player and an honorable mention all-state choice for Hudson High School in 2009. Nettleton netted 39 career goals and added 25 assists for the Raiders.
Yurek, a defender/midfielder, was an all-state honorable mention selection at Northfield High School. Yurek, also an all-conference choice, led the Raiders to the Section 2A State semifinals in the fall.
Orrock, a forward/midfielder, was an honorable mention all-conference selection for Elk River. Orrock also played hockey for the Elks.
These three recruits join former Duluth East player
Rob Johnson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS), along with goalkeepers
Bryan Nyberg (Oakdale, Minn./Tartan HS) and
Adam Hewitt (Richmond Hill, Ontario/St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic HS) in 2010 recruiting class thus far.
The Saints will begin their quest for their first-ever NCAA Tournament when they host 2009 NCAA participant Macalester College at Saints Field on Wednesday, September 1st.
